I thought having a message board for the league would be useful. Go ahead and post any questions or comments relating to the league.
Thanks, Tom #3 - Lumberjacks and website designer

Why doesn't the Santa Rosa Team have a webpage?

I think they are too busy winning to get a website together hehehe. They have told me that a website is coming. When it's ready, I'll link to it.

Thank you for looking in on it. I would really like to see the pitching and hitting stats of that SR team. I heard they're putting up crazy numbers! Is it true they put up over a 100 runs scored in the last 5 games?

I heard that their pitching staff is lights out as well. People have been telling me that this team is mainly compiled of Santa Rosa Junior College players, if they're dominating in this league then why didn't they do that well in their school season. Has anyone heard about their catcher Rich Rowland? What school is he going to? He looks D1 for sure.

I wasn't too blown away by their pitching, but they hit the cover off the ball when they played us.

I have seen that catcher, He is pretty good. I heard he got drafted outta HS. I asked one of my scout buddies and he said that he's goin to some school in Kentucky on a Full Ride. Said he messed up in the Class Room. Every Game i have seen he hit a homer, the first game he hit 2 haha. Pretty good behind the dish as well. One of their outfielder got a ride to LC State, hes pretty solid, Gino Casini I believe. Jared Lunardi is another pitcher on that squad, that kid is pretty lights out.

The Catcher is a horse! He caught every game for the SRJC Bearcubs! He also tore it up at the end of the season. Yeah, his Batting Average isn't going to be .400 because he is tired from catching all 9 innings every day! He still hit in the mid .300's. He is going to be a good pro someday! He definitely has the tools. His dad was an ex-major leaguer and his brother is also a good baseball player!

Is it possible to bring a team into the SRL, and if so how?

The south division is actually one team short, but it may be too close to the start of the season (season starts next week). You can contact the league president Norm Thompson at 707-208-3326 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting 707-208-3326 end_of_the_skype_highlighting.

I went to a game on Sat. in Vacaville Ca. Santa Rosa and the Solano MudCats were playing and I was really impressed with the level of play I witnessed on that field. Both teams played extremely hard. There was one player who stood out to me on the Solano team - The Closer! This kid looked like he was still in High School! But boy did that kid have an arm? He went in the game and just took it over! Was anybody else there? What was that kids name? He was wearing #22 and was a Lefty. Great Pitching Kid! if you are reading this.
